Aldersgate Chorale

Music is a gift from God.  The members of the Aldersgate Chorale feel privileged to be able to share that gift with our congregation.  Singing is an act of worship, and the chorale is filled with joy when we offer our praise and thanksgiving to God through song.

The Chorale members are men and women of various ages and talents.  All are dedicated to serving in the music department of FUMCOR.  We welcome anyone who wishes to serve God with the gift of singing.

Our organist is our regular accompanist, although sometimes he will accompany us with the piano.  Occasionally other instruments are added—flute, strings, brass, handbells.

Rehearsals:  7-8pm Thursdays and 9:15am Sundays in the choir room.  The rehearsal time is spent in preparation for the worship services and special services such as Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Christmas Eve.

Director:  Yvonne Flagg
Organist:  David Lines

For more information, feel free to speak with Yvonne after the service on Sundays, or call the church office (951) 683-7831.

Allegro Ringers

The Allegro Ringers, the adult handbell choir, rehearse every Tuesday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  During this time, the group learns two songs.  These songs may be contemporary or traditional, slow or fast, and/or have additional musical elements.  In addition, the bells may also play with the organ, vocals and other instruments.

The handbell instrument is truly a group instrument.  All ringers work together to bring the musical experience to the congregation.  The ringers help and support each other during rehearsals.  The group not only provides an opportunity to express themselves musically, it also provides a fellowship experience.  Working together on a common goal brings the musicians closer together.

If you have any questions regarding the Allegro Ringers, please contact the church office and leave a message for the director.  951-683-7831
