Mission Trip Training Registration

United Methodist Volunteers in Mission (UMVIM) has many service opportunities. UMVIM provides the official channel where Christians, laity and clergy, offer their skills and talents on short term assignments at their own expense. To get an idea of the variety of opportunities, google UMVIM project list.

Although many of the volunteer opportunities are overseas or in the eastern or southern United States, there are some within our geographical area. The way the program works is that a Team Leader coordinates with the Project Director, and then recruits and organizes his or her team. Having a trained Mission Team Leader is the starting point to volunteering for a variety of missions.

How do you become a Team Leader? Attend a Team Leader Training and learn how to equip yourself and your team to make the most of your short-term mission journey.

Who should attend this training? Those who truly desire engaging in Christian missions and Christian service. Even if you do not plan to become a team leader it is helpful to understand what it takes to have a successful and enriching mission experience. You may not be able to go on a mission trip yourself, but you might be willing to give logistical assistance to the team leader as he or she prepares for the mission trip.
